Kennsington Golf Club names world-ranked long driver as Director of Golf

Jeff Crittenden, a PGA professional and world-ranked long driver, joined Kennsington Golf Club as Director of Golf on June 15. Crittenden comes to the course from North Carolina Golf Academy, where he was owner and Director of Instruction.

“I look forward to bringing a new and entertaining approach to golf,” Crittenden said. “Kennsington is an impressive course. I have a lot of plans for the golf club, which I’m excited to unravel.”

For nearly a decade, Crittenden (a Pennsylvania native) has done exhibitions all over the world and now finds himself in Ohio where he’ll add the Canfield course to his long list of credentials.

Crittenden’s resume notably includes teaching at Swings the Thing Golf Schools, Grand Cypress Academy of Golf, Precision Golf Schools, ESPN Golf Schools and Golf Digest Golf Schools.

He is also well known for his long drive, which has earned him several awards and recognitions plus a top-five world ranking. He recently finished fifth in the 2015 World Long Drive Championship and second in the 2014 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, an annual world championship in long drive golf driving, hosted since 1975.

Crittenden’s training, skill and knowledge of the game not only make him a unique and valuable addition to Kennsington, but also to the Mahoning Valley.

“We’re very happy to have Jeff on board,” said Chuck Whitman, owner of Kennsington Golf Club. “His qualifications are assets to Kennsington that no other course in the area has to offer.”
