Downie-Helwig ceremony set for Sept. 4

Announcement is being made by Alex and Christine Downie of Canfield of the engagement of their daughter, Marie Downie and Jake Helwig, both of Clarksville, Tenn. Mr. Helwig is a son of Mike Helwig and Kristine Abel-Helwig of Ames, Iowa.

The couple have chosen Sept. 4 for their wedding to take place at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park. A reception will follow at Reserve Run Golf Course in Poland. Invitations will be extended for both events.

Miss Downie graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in city and regional planning.

The prospective groom earned a degree in economics from OSU and is a first lieutenant with the U.S. Army.
