Paczki fundraising race is Saturday

Polish Youngstown, in conjunction with Vertical Runner of McDonald, will sponsor the Paczki Dash 5K race to take place at Poland Library, 311 S. Main St., on Saturday on the trails in Poland Forest.

The Paczki Dash is the first race in the Trail Mix Series of 2016. This 5K race winds through the woods and trails of Poland Forest. After the race, runners can enjoy a doughnut before they go home.

Registration is $20. A children’s race for those 10 and under starts at 8:45 am. No T-shirts will be included for that race.

Race packet pickup is at Vertical Runner of McDonald, 241 E. Marshall Road, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. Saturday.

Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall and age group finishers. Door-prize drawings for paid participants will take place after the race and before the awards.

All proceeds benefit the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County.
