BANKING

Home Savings and Loan Co. recently hired Timothy A. Beaumont as vice president, commercial relationship manager. Beaumont brings more than 30 years of experience as a commercial banker specializing in credit, cash management and commodity/interest rate hedging. Before joining Home Savings, Beaumont served as senior vice president, commercial banking, at Fifth Third Bank.

PODIATRY

Dr. Larry G. Karlock of Austintown Podiatry Associates recently lectured to a group of more than 300 other podiatrists at the Cleveland foot and ankle seminar. He spoke about a variety of subjects, including new surgical techniques in foot and ankle reconstruction. Dr. Karlock has practiced 21 years in the Mahoning Valley.

Richard Volpini, president of Real Living Volpini Realty Group, recently announced the top agents in sales volume and listing units for 2015.

The top-selling agents by volume included the following from the Mahoning County office: Dennis Gonatas, Marisa Volpini, Joyce Kissinger, Melissa Porter, Marsha Ruha, Patty Mika, Sam Segretario and Karen Tomaino.

FOOD SERVICE

The Dairy Queen restaurant at 3555 S. Meridian Road in Youngstown and the Dairy Queen restaurant at 146 N. Canfield-Niles Road in Austintown recently received a PRIDE – Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence – Award from the Dairy Queen system for achieving a high level of cleanliness and food safety. Both locations are owned and operated by the Smith family of Canfield.

ACCOUNTING

Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic, LLC, CPAs and Strategic Advisors, of Canfield recently announced that Genna D. Notareschi, CPA, has been licensed as a certified public accountant by the Ohio State Board of Accountancy. Notareschi joined SSB as a team accountant in June 2014 and has since passed all four parts of the CPA exam and met the experience requirement to be licensed.

In addition to earning her CPA certification, Notareschi has passed the exams for and earned certification from Intuit as an Intuit QuickBooks Certified User. Her expanded knowledge of QuickBooks products adds depth to the accounting team and new resources for clients who use QuickBooks products. Notareschi graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting and an MBA with a concentration in general business.
