YOUNGSTOWN

Greg Parella led the Fighting Irish (13-5) with 25 points in a contest that saw nine Ursuline players score. Josh Portsfield paced the Big Red (11-7) with 17 points while Nicky Cannone added 11.

Cardinal Mooney 49, Canton Central Catholic 41

YOUNGSTOWN

Phillip Thomas scored a game-high 21 points for Mooney, while Andrew Armstrong added 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Cardinals.

Boardman 75, Lakeside 62

BOARDMAN

John Ryan scored 26 points to pace Boardman past Lakeside. Mike Melewski and Holden Lipke also added 13 points apiece for the Spartans. Che Travena scored 12.

Struthers 44, Hubbard 42

STRUTHERS

Andrew Carbon scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (6-10). Brendan Candella, with nine points, was the high-scorer for the Eagles.

LaBrae 62, Liberty 46

LEAVITTSBURG

Caelan Hyland scored 19 points, Carlton Brown added 13 and the Vikings (13-4, 9-1) clinched a share of the AAC’s Blue Tier by dominating the second half against the Leopards. Liberty (4-12, 4-6) got 12 points each from Dra Rushton and Andre Bowers and 11 from Daniel Banks and led 23-21 at halftime, but LaBrae outscored the visitors 41-23 in the second half.

Niles 65, Lakeview 35

CORTLAND

Cameron Kane-Johnson and Tyrese Williams each scored 15 points for Niles. The Bulldogs were led by Jatice Garrison’s 10 points.

Champion 83, Campbell 67

CHAMPION

Drake Batcho scored a game-high 30 points for the Golden Flashes and Lucas Nasonti contributed 20 points. Jose Troncoso, Paul White, and Rasean Hicks scored 12 points each for Campbell.

Newton Falls 63, Brookfield 35

NEWTON FALLS

Jaden Walton led Newton Falls with two shots from behind the arc and went 8-for-10 from the line for 24 points. Joey Urso also contributed 12 points. Haden O’Brien shot 4-for-5 from the line and led Brookfield with 10 points.

South Range 68, Crestview 50

CRESTVIEW

Brandon Youngs scored 13 points, Preston Stitt scored 12 points, and Anthony Ritter scored 11 points for the Raiders. Eli McCallum led Crestview with 16 points and Aaron Muntean tacked on 10 points.

Lowellville 70, Jackson Milton 37

LOWELLVILLE

Cole Beatty’s 18 points and Tyler Barone’s 12 carried Lowellville to a comfortable win over the Bluejays. Jon Chiclowe also added 11 for the Rockets while Zak Lane was the leading scorer for Jackson Milton, finishing with nine points.

McDonald 79, Mineral Ridge 71

MINERAL RIDGE

McDonald’s Matt Howard led all scorers with 20 points in the comeback victory. Zack Fedyski and Baredon Poole each finished in double figures with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Christian DiRando led the Rams with 18 points while Mac White added 16 points while Zane Rummell finished with 13.

VASJ 90, Valley Christian 41

J. Green scored 12 points for the Eagles.

Heartland Christian 72, Minerva Christian 12

COLUMBIANA

Nathan Sommers scored 21 points for Heartland Christian and Andy Sodegren added 16 points and nine rebounds.

Salem 60, West Branch 50

BELOIT

D.J. Pullie led Salem with 20 points and Trey Toothman added 13 points for the Quakers as they downed West Branch. Jon Gerace and Dan Laut also scored 10 points each for Salem.

Maplewood 51, Badger 29

MECCA

Jake Hall led the Rockets (8-7) with 12 points in the victory while Thomas Dorsey hit three 3-pointers and Collin Crowe also added nine. Garrett Kellogg led Badger with 11 points, including three 3-pointers as well. Cleveland Central Catholic 65, Warren JFK 55

WARREN

Justin Bofenkamp scored 18 points and Nate Woods scored 14 points for Warren JFK, but the Eagles fell to Cleveland Central Catholic, which outscored JFK 17-5 in the third quarter.

Bristol 72, Southington 52

SOUTHINGTON

Alex Jones scored 22 points for Bristol, while Tommy Donadio added 21 points. Southington was paced by 14 points each from Josh Barker and Tommy Hall.
