Emily Elizabeth Sjodin married Martin Thomas Hancharenko Jr. during a ceremony at 3 p.m. Oct. 3, 2015, officiated by the Rev. John Bauer at the Basilica of St. Mary. A reception followed at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.

Parents of the newlyweds are Daniel and Cynthia Sjodin of Fridley, Minn., and Martin T. Sr. and Camille Hancharenko of Cortland.

The bride wore a drop waist ivory gown of lace and tulle with a cathedral length trail.

Linley Ritcher and Tessa Voss were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Deah Szymanski and Sarah Hanninen, the bride’s sisters; Diana Hancharenko, sister-in-law of the groom; and Mary Bahr, sister-in-law of the bride. The bride’s nieces, Laura and Ashley Peterson, were flower girls. The attendants wore dark gray dresses.

Michael Hancharenko performed duties of best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Joe Pease and the bride’s brothers, Brian and Aren Bahr and Evan Sjodin. Olaf Cope, the bride’s cousin, was ring bearer. Lloyd Clausen and Jordan Ryan were ushers.

Mrs. Hancharenko earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Minnesota. She works in human resources as a campus technology recruiter for Target Corp. in Minneapolis.

Mr. Hancharenko received a bachelor’s degree of science from Miami University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota. He is a production manager for CertainTeed Corp. in Shakopee, Minn.

The couple took a wedding trip to Staniel Cay in the Bahamas. They live in Minnetonka, Minn.
