The Rev. Michael Doyle solemnized the 1 p.m. Aug. 29, 2015, wedding of Christine Cregg and John M. Koval III at Assumption Catholic Church. A reception celebrating the couple followed at the Newberry Library.

The bride wore an ivory satin fit and flare gown with a sweetheart neckline and ruched satin and tulle bodice. The ensemble was completed with a chapel length train and veil.

The bride’s sisters, Elise and Madalyn Cregg, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Grandfield, Kristina Raith, Katrina Winogradzki, Kristin Stafford and Regan Billie. The attendants wore blush pink-colored gowns.

David and Kevin Koval, the groom’s brothers, shared the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Shane Davis, Byron Mastriana, Doug Hudoba, Morad Elmi and Adam Link.

The bride’s parents are Robert and Betina Cregg of Glenview, Ill. The groom is the son of Dr. John and Maureen Koval of Poland.

Mrs. Koval earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, Champaign. Mr. Koval received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Miami University and a master’s degree in communication from the University of Southern California.

They work at Abbott Labs in Abbott Park, Ill., where she is a senior financial analyst and he is a senior manager of public affairs.

The Kovals traveled to Portugal and Spain for a wedding trip. They have made their home in Vernon Hills, Ill.
