Foldvarys mark golden event with family dinner

A dinner with family members on Dec. 18 at Alberini’s Restaurant in Boardman celebrated the 50th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Foldvary of Poland.

The event was hosted by their daughters, Michele Morris of Canfield and Valerie Dakim of Etters, Pa. Two grandchildren complete the family circle.

The former Maria Valery Talian married Mr. Foldvary on Dec. 18, 1965, at Hungarian Presbyterian Church in Youngstown, where they are members.

Mrs. Foldvary is a homemaker. She is a member of the 32nd Degree Club, United Presbyterian Women and Friends of the Poland Library.

Mr. Foldvary was a professor of chemistry at Youngstown State University for 33 years, and retired in March 1996. He is an active member of the Masonic Lodge.
