Escaped Ohio teen convicted in murder case found at McDonald’s
MARION, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio teen serving time in her stepfather’s killing has been found after she escaped during a Zumba class.
The Ohio Department of Youth Services says the 17-year-old was found Thursday evening by police at a McDonald’s in Marion on state Route 95.
The agency says she had been in a supervised class on Wednesday at a Cleveland recreation center when she ran away. Staff members apparently couldn’t catch up before she disappeared.
The girl has been in a behavioral health center since August 2014 after she was sentenced to five years on a juvenile charge of complicity to aggravated murder.
They say she and four adults teamed up in the killing of her 61-year-old stepdad in 2012, and that they planned to split money from a life-insurance policy.
