SEBRING UPDATE | Sebring revises bottled-water distribution process

SEBRING — The village has clarified its bottled-water distribution process.

All Sebring water customers are eligible to receive free bottled water, unless their residence or business has been tested as OK.

There is a limited supply of bottled water at the distribution center at the Sebring Community Center, 305 W. Texas Ave., and the village wants to make sure all those who need water are receiving it, officials said in a news release today.

Each qualifying person in the household will receive the equivalent of one gallon, per person, per day. No consumer will receive a supply exceeding six days per distribution.

All residents and businesses receiving bottle water must have their residence or businesses tested, or they shall be disqualified from receiving free water.

Criteria to receive water: Current resident of impacted area, must show proof of residence, and current businesses of impacted area, and must show proof your business receives village water

Households and businesses that test OK on water quality will become ineligible.

The distribution is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday.

Further distribution hours for next week will be determined. Special-needs requests should be made to village hall at 330-938-9340.
