Police reports said two women who gave police fake Social Security numbers Monday were arrested on warrants as well as charges of obstructing official business.

Officer Seann Carfolo pulled over a car about 12:35 p.m. on Eleanor Avenue after it ran a red light at Eleanor and Mahoning avenues on the West Side, reports said.

Reports said Carfolo asked the driver and passenger for identification, and they each gave him a Social Security number instead.

Reports said when Carfolo checked his computer, neither of the Social Security numbers matched the women’s descriptions. The driver, Nelfonda Lynch, 23, of Girard, then told Carfolo she gave him false identification because she thought she had a warrant.

Records showed Lynch has two felony warrants for theft and receiving stolen property and her passenger, Anasha West, 19, of Eleanor Avenue, has a warrant from municipal court for failure to comply.

Both women had their children in the car. Lynch and West were taken to the Mahoning County jail. Relatives came and took the children, reports said.
