SEBRING UPDATE | Water testing available for Sebring residents

SEBRING — The Mahoning County health board, in collaboration with the village, is offering lead testing for residents who receive drinking water from the public water system.

The test is free to the customer. Residents who want their water tested can stop by the village municipal building, 135 E. Ohio Ave., to pick up sampling bottles. The bottles will have detailed instructions on how to collect the sample. Water testing will be available until further notice.

Residents may pick up bottles from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Samples must then be dropped off at the municipal building on Mondays or Wednesdays no later than 10 a.m.

The results will be provided to the residents via email. A paper copy will be provided to the village. If residents don't have an email address, a paper copy of the report can be obtained at the municipal building.

For questions, call the village at 330-938-9340.
