TODAY

Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $8. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will sell drive-through stuffed-cabbage dinners from 3 to 5 p.m. The meals will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $10 each. The menu also includes mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, bread and butter and dessert.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Phone orders may be made from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 8 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up starting at noon.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders each week for freshly made potato and potato with kraut pirogi at $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6.50 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins welcome. Use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Moms and Dads Club of St. Nicholas School in Struthers will sponsor a pasta dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. in St. Nicholas Great Hall, 766 Fifth St . Dine-in dinners include pasta with two meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and drink. Carryouts also will be available. Cost is $9 for adults, $6 for children 6 to 12 years old and free for those 5 and younger.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. The menu includes eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. SUNDAY

Knights of Columbus Father Venglarik Council 11915 will host a spaghetti-and-meatball dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the hall of St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman. Meals also include salad, bread and butter, cake and a drink. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12, and free for children under 6. Carryout orders will be available at 10 a.m.; take your own container, or one will be provided. The event also will include a basket raffle. Proceeds will benefit the council’s charitable endeavors.

St. Patrick School will host a cavatelli and meatball dinner from noon to 4 p.m. in the church hall at 367 N. Main St., Hubbard. Cost is $9 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under. The menu also includes a drink, dessert and bread. Tickets will be sold at the door. Takeout will be available.

TAKING ORDERS

Christ the Good Shepherd Parish and Men’s Society of St. Lucy Church will sponsor an Ash Wednesday Lenten menu at the Palermo Center, 393 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Items are available for takeout only. The menu is pasta fagioli at $5 a quart, bread at $2 a loaf, rolls for $2 per half dozen, sweet rolls at $1.25 each and pizza at $9 each with choices of regular, Brier Hill and white pizza with peppers. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, will sell pizza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10, in the educational center. All products are made with homemade dough. Brier Hill pizza costs $6, and potato, spinach and combo calzones are $10 each. Special hot calzones and spinach with raisins also will be available to order. Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will have a homemade potato pirogi sale. The cost is $6 a dozen. To place an order, call 330-856-4204 Monday through Friday through Feb. 8. Pick up will be from noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 10.

St. Brendan Parish will sell pepperoni rolls for $2 each and quarts of chili for $7 each and will accept orders through Friday. The rolls will be made by That’s a Wrap, and the chili is made by church parishioners. St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will have a soup sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 13. Italian wedding soup and ham, bean and barley soup will be sold for takeout only at $6 a quart. Orders will be taken through Feb. 6 at 330-799-0914.

Girard K of C Council 2935 will host Lenten fish dinners at the K of C Hall, 122 S. State St, Girard, from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 12, 19, 26 and March 4 and 11. Cost is $9 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12, and free for children under 4. The menu will feature baked or fried fish, fries, macaroni and cheese or haluski, cole slaw, bread, coffee and cake. Meals include chili with cheese and sour cream sides, cornbread, vegetable sticks and dessert. Cost is $7 per person or $5 for a quart of chili. The sale benefits the church’s maintenance campaign.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. Feb. 4 until sold out for $8 each. A stuffed chicken breast comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie.
