Youngstown Soup to fund local projects

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown Soup, a community micro-granting dinner celebrating and supporting creative projects in Mahoning County, is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave.

A $5 donation will provide guests a meal of soup, salad and bread, and a vote on innovative project proposals in Youngstown. There will be four presenters who will have four minutes to share an idea on a project proposal that will help the community. There also will be a 50-50 raffle and silent auction.

Guests will vote on their favorite soup and proposal. The winner takes home the proceeds from the dinner to complete their project proposal.

At the next Youngstown Soup event, winners will present how they carried out their project.
