Boardman Lions to give scholarships

BOARDMAN

Boardman Lions Club will award two $1,000 scholarships this spring to two graduating seniors who are residents of Boardman and will be attending a four-year college to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Additional requirements include a minimum grade point average of 3.0, 30 hours of community service per year from the sophomore year on, two recommendations and a personal essay. Any graduating senior who lives in Boardman will be considered.

The scholarship committee will select recipents based on academic success, volunteer service and recommendations. Awards will be announced at graduation. Apply online at www.boardmanlions.com. Deadline is April 15.
