URGENT | West Branch High School, middle and preschool closed because of Sebring water woe

BELOIT — West Branch high and middle schools will be closed Tuesday because the school district has not received results of EPA water tests.

In light of the recent concerns about the Sebring water quality, we will not reopen school until we have the results of the EPA water tests, according to a district news release today.

Because preschool students attend the middle-school facility, they, too, will not report to school Tuesday.

All after-school activities at the high school and middle school are either canceled or relocated for Tuesday.

The Career Center Shuttle will leave from the high school's north lot at 7:25 a.m. It will return from the center at 2:45 p.m.

Damascus Elementary and Knox Elementary school staff and students will still report to their respective buildings Tuesday, as these facilities operate with well water that is not connected to the Sebring water system.

Those elementary schools will follow their regular schedule.
