First of YSU's 2016 lectures on energy and the environment is Wednesday


YOUNGSTOWN — Dr. Patricia DeMarco will discuss “Pathway to a Sustainable Future” in a lecture set for 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room B112, Cushwa Hall, on the campus of Youngstown State University. The event is the first in YSU’s energy and the environment lecture series.

DeMarco is a visiting researcher and writer and a native of Pittsburgh. She earned a doctorate in biology from the University of Pittsburgh and has spent a 30-year career in energy and environmental policy in both private and public sector positions.

On Nov. 3, 2015, DeMarco was elected to the Forest Hills Borough Council as an at-large member for a four-year term that began Jan. 4.
