Boardman school board expected to act on middle-school realignment plan

BOARDMAN — The school board is expected to take action tonight on a plan to realign the school district’s middle schools.

The plan, which has been under consideration for some time and which was detailed to the public at a forum last month, would regroup students by grade level.

Fifth- and sixth-grade students would move to Center Middle School, and seventh- and eighth-graders would move to Glenwood Middle School. Currently, each building houses students from all four grade levels.

The board meets at 7 p.m. at Center Middle School’s small auditorium.
