“The X-Files” (8 p.m., Fox): Apparently, the truth is still out there. Thirteen years after the original series run, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as iconic FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in a six-episode event from series creator/executive producer Chris Carter. Along for the ride is guest star Joel McHale, as a smooth-talking web-TV show host who just might be onto a bizarre government conspiracy.

“Downton Abbey” (8 p.m., PBS): Cross your fingers that Anna (Joanne Froggatt) will be OK during tonight’s episode of “Downton Abbey.” It has Mary (Michelle Dockery) “rushing her to a hospital in London for a needed surgery.”

‘Buzzed or drunk?’ lecture at library

SHARON, PA.

Maureen Dunn, nursing instructor, will give a free lecture at noon Feb. 3 at the Community Library of the Shenango Valley, corner of East State Street and Shenango Avenue, downtown, on “Buzzed or Drunk? Are You Impaired to Drive?” The event, which is open to the public, is part of the Penn State Shenango faculty lecture series.

Dunn is currently working on her doctorate of nursing practice from Carlow University. Her expertise is in community/public health nursing and cultural diversity. She was previously the director of education services and faculty at Sharon Regional Health System.
