Search for robbery suspect continues

GIRARD

Authorities continue their search for a man in his mid-30s who robbed the Citizens Bank, 35 S. State St., at 5:55 p.m. Friday, just before closing time. He demanded cash from the registers, then left the building, but a dye pack was activated on the stolen cash, according to a police report. Surveillance cameras were able to capture the suspect on video. He is white with unkempt, short facial hair, slim build, about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall. Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspect to call 330-545-0211.

Valley county fair leaders recognized

COLUMBUS

The Ohio Department of Agriculture recently recognized 54 individuals or organizations at the 91st Ohio Fair Managers Association annual convention at the Greater Columbus Convention Center for outstanding service to their local fairs.

Recognized for Mahoning County was Donald Snyder Jr.; for Columbiana County, Alan W. Cope; and for Trumbull County, recognized posthumously was Paul G. Aaron.
