Prosecutors in the Oakhill Renaissance Place criminal-corruption case had law enforcement issue subpoenas to 53 witnesses it plans to call to testify in the case. Those receiving subpoenas are:

David Aey, attempted to run in 2008 for Mahoning County sheriff; court documents contend he rejected cash from Anthony Cafaro Sr. two times.

Alisa Akuszewski, a Mahoning County auditor employee who worked for indicted ex- Auditor Michael V. Sciortino, one of the case’s three defendants.

Lisa Antonini, former Mahoning County treasurer and Democratic Party chairwoman, who was a close friend and political ally of Sciortino and Martin Yavorcik, an Oakhill defendant.

Mark Beck, Cafaro Co. attorney.

Donald Belosic, Mahoning County deputy sheriff.

David Blasko, principal in charge of Youngstown office of HBK CPAs & Consultants.

Gary Van Brocklin, former Mahoning County prosecutor.

Anthony Cafaro Sr., former head of family-owned Cafaro Co. retail development business; considered by prosecutors to be a head of alleged criminal enterprise though he hasn’t been indicted.

John J. Cafaro, retired Cafaro Co. executive and Anthony Cafaro Sr.’s brother, who contributed money to campaign of Yavorcik.

Ingrid Cassidy, Mahoning County auditor employee who worked for Sciortino.

Mark Davis, a Cafaro Co. employee.

James Dobran, Cafaro Co. chief legal counsel.

Isaac J. Eddington, attorney for Ulmer & Berne, informed by attorney Craig Miller that Sciortino and John A. McNally, an Oakhill defendant and Youngstown mayor, were “struggling with the issue of whether as an ethical matter” they should pay legal fees rather than Anthony Cafaro Sr., according to court documents.

John Ferraro, Flora Cafaro’s son.

William Cafaro Ferraro, Flora Cafaro’s son, whose FIZEK fitness business, prosecutors say, was listed on a $15,000 invoice to Yavorcik to make it look like it was for legal services when it wasn’t. He denied using Yavorcik for legal services.

Caroline Funk, retired Youngstown school district treasurer.

Paul J. Gains, Mahoning County prosecutor.

Stephen R. Garea, Youngstown area attorney.

Ronald V. Gerberry, former state representative who resigned and was found guilty of unlawful compensation in August 2015.

Richard D. Goldberg, disbarred attorney and friend of Anthony Cafaro Sr. who worked on Yavorcik’s failed 2008 Mahoning County prosecutor campaign.

Connie Kosa, secretary to James M. Dobran, Cafaro Co. legal counsel.

Robert Kucharski, paralegal for Ulmer & Berne law firm.

J. Robert Lyden, former Mahoning County sanitary engineer.

Melissa M. Macejko, attorney who represented Andrew W. Suhar, a bankruptcy trustee, in Oakhill bankruptcy case.

Anthony Magnetta, a former budget analyst in auditor’s office under Sciortino.

Dale H. Markowitz, principal in Thrasher, Dinsmore & Dolan, a Chardon law firm.

Timothy J. Matune, a Youngstown attorney.

John McCaffrey, attorney for Anthony Cafaro Jr.

Carol McFall, chief deputy auditor under Sciortino.

Samuel M. Moffie, an informant who said he was asked by Anthony Cafaro Sr. to file a taxpayer lawsuit against Mahoning County to stop the purchase of Oakhill.

Paul Nick, head of the Ohio Ethics Commission and a special prosecutor in the first Oakhill case.

Andrew W. Suhar, a bankruptcy trustee involved in the Oakhill bankruptcy case.

George Tablack, former Mahoning County auditor and administrator.

Anthony Traficanti, Mahoning County commissioner who supported the purchase of Oakhill by the county.

Anthony Vivo, Mahoning County clerk of courts.

Bruce L. Waterhouse Jr., an attorney for McNally, and a former partner with the Taft, Stettinius & Hollister law firm.

Kurt Welsh, former Mahoning County Board of Elections employee, and Antonini’s boyfriend.
