East Liverpool man dies in one-car accident near Lisbon

LISBON — Justin C. Boyer, 36, of East Liverpool died in a 7:06 a.m. single-car accident today on state Route 7 in Elkrun Township near Lisbon.

Boyer was traveling north on Route 7 and traveled off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail and continued along the shoulder until coming to rest against the guardrail.

He was taken to East Liverpool Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Boyer was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The crash remains under investigation by the patrol and Columbiana County Coroner’s Office for possible medical issues.
