The 2016 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Awards were presented Thursday at Youngstown State University’s Diversity Breakfast:

Undergraduate Achievement Award, Samantha Anderson, for promotion of diversity and inclusion and YSU student government.

Graduate Achievement Award, Tyler Brentley, for his fall 2015 academic achievement and being a student role model.

Mentorship, Garrett White, coordinator of the International Student Coffee Hour.

Community Service, Penny Wells, community activist and nonviolence advocate.

Distinguished Service, Tiffany M. Anderson, director of YSU’s Africana Studies program.

Special award, student Julian J. Jones, for service.
