Trumbull County Housing Collaborative seeks volunteers to aid in homeless count

The Trumbull County Housing Collaborative is coordinating the Trumbull County Point in Time Count of the homeless from 5:31 a.m. Tuesday to 7:38 a.m. Wednesday.

The Trumbull County Housing Collaborative, which was formed in 1998, is comprised of representatives from more than 50 public, private and non-profit agencies serving Trumbull County. Its goal is to address the needs of homeless families and individuals; coordinate services and facilities and identify and address “Gaps in Services” for homeless persons and those at risk of homelessness.

One important measure for determining homeless funding is a count of the homeless on a particular day.

Volunteers are needed throughout the county to assist with the count. Anyone interested can contact Sister Jean Orsuto at the Emmanuel Community Care Center 330-545-4301.
