Water line break in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN

A water main break at Sleepy Hollow Sleep Shop, 5860 Mahoning Ave., caused dangerous road conditions as the water leaking quickly froze in the low temperatures.

Youngstown Water Department officials said the leak came from a fire line.

They notified the business owners that the line was shut off and the repair is now their responsibility.

The road department will salt the now frozen water from the leak.
