Tractor-trailer accident causes closure of SR 82 at US Route 62 in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD — The Southington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says the westbound lanes of state Route 82 at the U.S. Route 62 on ramp are closed after a tractor-trailer overturned about 10:50 a.m. today, dumping scrap metal onto the roadway.

A news release from the patrol said the semi, driven by Jeridith Pingley, 46, of Warren, was merging onto Route 82 west from Route 62 east and overturned after failing to negotiate the curve.

Pingley was taken to St. Joseph Warren Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which the release said were not life threatening. The release said charges are pending.
