Threat forces evacuation of LaBrae school complex


LEAVITTSBURG — According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator's broadcast partner, students were evacuated from the LaBrae Local School Complex on today while the police and fire departments investigated a threat.

School officials would not disclose the nature of the threat, or how it was received late this morning, the TV station reported.

Intermediate school students from grades through through five intermediate were taken to Bascom Elementary school, according to the superintendent's office.

Middle school and high-school students were transported to the Leavittsburg Community Church on West Market Street.

The superintendent has not decided if classes will resume after the building is swept for threats.
