Pa. judge revokes bail for ex-coach accused of sex with player
MCCANDLESS, Pa. (AP) — A former Pennsylvania high-school basketball coach accused of having sex with a 16-year-old female player has been sent to jail.
Judge Jill Rangos says she had no choice but to revoke Cliff Foster’s bond and order him to jail. He did not testify during the brief hearing today.
The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office had filed a motion saying 33-year-old Foster contacted the victim after he was barred from doing so. The motion says Foster and his sister contacted the victim repeatedly between Nov. 26 and Jan. 4.
The former Pine-Richland coach was arrested in October and is charged with having sex with a student and corruption of minors.
