Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley will host a Valentine’s Day Sip and Paint event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Wonderstruck Studio, 3545 Clingan Road.

Cost is $40 per person; reservations are required. Visit the Habitat ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, to purchase tickets. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Guests should take their own wine. Habitat will provide some wine and snacks.

PCUC plans vigil

New Castle, Pa.

The New Castle Chapter of People Concerned for the Unborn Child will sponsor its 30th annual “Light a Candle for Life” prayer vigil at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Kennedy Square. Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance will be led by the Rev. Chad Stoecker, and Sammy Bessell, fifth-grader at St. Vitus School, will sing “God Bless America.” A prayer service and program will follow at 7 p.m. in the Marian Room at St. Mary Church, and speaker will be Dr. Dan Callaghan on “Defending God’s Gift of Life.” Refreshments will be served.

The organization has reserved a bus Jan. 22 to travel to the 42nd annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. Cost is $40 for adults and $30 for students. A special price of $20 is being offered for individual students in a group of four or more. Clergy members may travel for free. The group will attend the walk at noon; leave Washington at 5 p.m. with a stop for dinner; and return between midnight and 1 a.m. Jan. 23.
