The Rev. John Keehner officiated the 2 p.m. Oct. 3, 2015, wedding of Roberta A. Marinelli and Randal Owen Hughes, both of Columbus, at St. Christine Church. A reception honored the couple at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
Parents of the bride are Robert and Mary Ann Marinelli of Austintown. The groom is the son of John Hughes of Cleveland and Frances Hughes-Becker of Aurora, Ohio.
The bride wore a gown with a V-neck lace bodice embellished with crystals and rhinestones and a chapel train. The edge of her cathedral veil was decorated with crystals.
The bride’s sister, Jennifer Roncone, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen and Janine Marinelli, sisters of the bride; Savannah Hughes, daughter of the groom; Jenna Polkovitch; Lisa Metzinger; Erica Seefried; and Kelly Dave. Junior bridesmaids were Emma Hughes, the groom’s daughter, and Sofia Roncone, the bride’s niece. Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Isabella and Lucia Roncone, and the groom’s niece, Maris Hughes. The attendants wore black satin gowns with crystal brooches at the hip.
Daniel Roncone, the bride’s brother-in-law, performed duties of best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers, Terry, Barry and Johnny Hughes; the groom’s nephew, Jason Hughes; Nick Kastelic; and Neil Dave. The bride’s nephews, Danny Roncone and Robert Mark Marinelli, were ring bearers. Ushers were Mark Blanton and Anthony Balkan.
Mrs. Hughes earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. Her husband received a bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University and master’s degree from Baldwin Wallace University.
The newlyweds honeymooned in St. Lucia. They live in Columbus.
