STRUTHERS

Kahylah Brown led the Wildcats (7-8) with 17 points while Caitlin Kane scored in double figures as well with 10 points. Amanda Blank was the main scoring threat for Niles (4-10), scoring 22 of the team’s 35 points - hitting five threes in the process.

Poland 80, Edgewood 34

POLAND

The Bulldogs (12-2, 8-1) led 27-0 after the first quarter and spent the rest of the game on cruise control. In only 15 minutes of action, Bella Gadjos scored 23 points. Sarah Bury and Emily Melnek put up 18 and 15 points, respectively, in a similar time frame. Ashley Evans led Edgewood (2-12) with 10 points).

Badger 56, Heartland 24

COLUMBIANA

Madison Karr and Kiersten Tricker led Badger’s (3-10) blowout win with 18 and 12 points, respectively. Heartland Christian (0-13) matched its season-high point total for the season behind Avery Pennington’s 13 points.

Garfield Heights Trinity 53, Valley Christian 43

GARFIELD HEIGHTS

Shelby Zoeckler scored 20 points as Trinity Cathloic (5-6) broke a halftime stalemate to win. Imane Snyder scored 17 points and Natalia Mahdee added another 10 for Valley Christian (8-3).

Brookfield 60, Liberty 26

YOUNGSTOWN

Brookfield (13-2, 6-2) never trailed behind Tori Sheehan’s 12 points and Alivia O’Brien’s 11 points. Brayleona Woods had more than half of Liberty’s (4-12) points with 15.

Lakeview 79, Hubbard 35

CORTLAND

Lakeview (15-1, 8-0) ensured the game was over by halftime as four Bulldogs’ players finished in double figures. Addie Becker led with 23 points. Annie Pavlansky had 16 points, Jensen Silbaugh scored 15 points and Lammie Becker finished with 10 points. Finishing in double figures for Hubbard (2-9) were Logan Nitsche with 11 points and Athena Smith with 10 points.

Carrollton 62, West Branch 36

West Branch (7-8, 5-5) had no answer for Carrollton’s (13-5, 9-1) Ali Poole, who scored 31 points for the winning side. Brenna Rito and Catie Hahn each scored 11 points for West Branch.

Canton Central Catholic 52, Cardinal Mooney 36

YOUNGSTOWN

Canton Central Catholic (12-3) limited Cardinal Mooney (2-13) to just eight points in the first half. Hanna Risaliti led the winning side with 16 points and Sarah Miller added 11 points.

Austintown Fitch 57, Warren Harding 40

AUSTINTOWN

Fitch (8-7) Freshman Sabria Hunter led with 18 points. Allexis Sallee added 16 points and Natalie Lynn added another 10. Kia Allen led Harding (6-9) with 12 points.

GIRARD

Izzy Kline and Gabby Kline put up 17 and 15 points, respectively, as Newton Falls (14-1) rolled. Camille Stoffick and Makayla Trebella each scored nine points to lead Girard (8-6).

Mineral Ridge (1-12) picked up its first win of the season behind Hannah Breedlove’s 18 points.

CANFIELD

Canfield (12-3) blanked Lakeside (5-12) in the first quarter before running away with the win. Ashley Kaleel led the Cardinals with 11 points. Carly Aponte scored 10 points for Lakeside.

BOARDMAN

Lauren Gabriele scored 21 points and Krista Johnson added 12 points as Boardman (9-5, 3-4) routed East (2-12).

NORTH JACKSON

Clay O’Dell scored 35 points as Mathews (9-3) kept Jackson-Milton (0-13) winless. Noah Laster led Jackson-Milton with 12 points.

Western Reserve 68, Warren JFK 48

BERLIN CENTER

Vince Brookins scored a game-high 30 points to lead Western Reserve past Warren JFK. Michael Palmer added 10 points for the Blue Devils. JFK was led by Justin Bofenkamp’s 13 points.

Southington 72, Mineral Ridge 67

SOUTHINGTON

Josh Barker led Southington with 22 points and Eric Wilson added 12 points in a defeat of Mineral Ridge. The Rams were paced by Christian DiRando’s 10 points.
