Man says he was robbed at gunpoint on the North Side

A 35-year-old Youngstown man told police that he was robbed at gunpoint while driving on the North Side.

The man told police he was in his car about 5 p.m. Thursday on Virginia Street when two men crossed the street slowly in front of him. He looked down and the two men were at his car window with guns demanding his watch and necklace, according to a police report. The man complied, and one of the gunmen also took his handgun from the car’s middle console, the report states. The two gunmen fled on foot.
