2 men arrested after assault rifles, drugs found at Idora Avenue house

YOUNGSTOWN

Two Youngstown men face criminal charges after police said they found four guns, including two assault rifles, and suspected crack cocaine in their house during a raid by the department’s vice squad.

Shun Moreland, 43, and Antwan Irby, 40, both of Idora Avenue, are charged with felony counts of being convicted felons in illegal possession of weapons and possession of drugs, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested the two at their home about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

They are in the Mahoning County jail pending arraignments today in Youngstown Municipal Court.

After receiving complaints from citizens about suspected drug activity at the Idora Avenue residence, police Chief Robin Lees said his officers made two undercover drug buys at that location and then obtained a search warrant.
