Woman faces more charges after pills found at jail

YOUNGSTOWN — A Price Road woman taken into custody on a warrant about 5:10 p.m. Monday has additional charges after corrections officers found 11 pills on her when she was being booked into the Mahoning County jail.

Reports said police took Amy Sharfan, 38, into custody at Belmont Avenue and Gypsy Lane from another department. The pills were found when she was searched at the jail.

Sharfan now faces an additional charge of illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility, a third degree felony.
