Man heading to prison for fatal 2014 crash in NE Ohio
MEDINA, Ohio (AP) — A northeastern Ohio man is heading to prison for an October 2014 crash that killed a 21-year-old woman and injured three others.
Noah Silcox received a four-year sentence Monday in Medina County and his license was suspended for life.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the 21-year-old Seville man tried to pass a vehicle on U.S. Route 42 in Medina when he hit another vehicle head-on and collided with a third vehicle. Tara Green, a passenger in the third vehicle, was killed.
Green’s mother, Teresa Green, suffered a broken back, leg and ribs. Two other men were also injured.
Silcox pleaded guilty Jan. 4 to charges including aggravated vehicular homicide.
He apologized in court Monday. Records show his license had been suspended due to an April 2014 drug conviction.
