Hope Channel coming to Oak Hill Collaborative on Thursday
YOUNGSTOWN — United Returning Citizens welcomes the Hope Channel to film stories from formerly incarcerated people and their families from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Oak Hill Collaborative, 507 Oak Hill Ave.
The Hope Channel is a 24-hour television channel produced by an inmate-run crew from Grafton Correctional Institution and Northeast Pre-release Center. The channel airs throughout Ohio’s prisons, providing information regarding re-integration opportunities and resources.
URC is a nonprofit organization offering mentoring and support for those returning from incarceration and the friends and family of those who have been impacted by their imprisonment. They offer training, connection to resources, and positive peer support for those re-entering our community.
This event is free and open to anyone willing and able to share their experiences. Light refreshments will be provided.
