Youngstown is proposing the removal of the existing concrete/metal pipe culvert crossing Sugar Creek on the central portion of Ella Avenue.

The culvert will be replaced with a new precast concrete arch with new wingwalls and rock channel protection. The proposed improvements will include embankment reconstruction, pavement replacement and the installation of guardrail.

The Ohio Department of Transportation requests information regarding the presence of any known cultural resources in the vicinity. Cultural resources include archaeological sites, as well as historic bridges, buildings, sites and districts.

The transportation improvement is scheduled for construction in 2018. The $2.5 million project is expected to be completed within one construction season. For information, contact Charles Shasho at 330-742-8800.
