The Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini Foundation will host an Ellen Mancini Bowl-A-Thon from 3 to 9 p.m. March 5 at the Holiday Bowl, 777 Youngstown-Poland Road.
Cost will be $60 per four-person teams, and proceeds will benefit the foundation’s charities of choice.
A cash prize of $500 will be awarded to the overall highest scoring team of two games. Food will be provided by Primanti Bros. in Boardman.

PFS schedules Scrabble tourney
POLAND
Protestant Family Service will sponsor its fifth annual Scrabble tournament fundraiser March 12 at Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor. Check-in time is 11:30 a.m. with play starting at noon.
The event features prizes, food and basket auction.
Cost is $20 for registration; participants must be 13 years and older.
Registration is due by March 8. Call PFS at 330-746-4600.
SnoBowl event is set for Jan. 31
HUBBARD
Neighborhood Ministries will host its annual SnoBowl event on Jan. 31 at Bell Wick Bowl, 6105 W. Liberty St.
Individuals and teams of up to five bowlers can collect sponsorships or donate $15 to bowl one regular game and one fun game, with shoes provided.
Registration opens at 1:45 p.m., and bowling begins at 3.
Prizes will be awarded for most money raised, best score, worst score and other categories.
Participation in the bowling event will benefit after-school programs for children from low income families sponsored by Neighborhood Ministries.
Food provided by Neighborhood Ministries GEMS auxiliary will be available for a donation. Proceeds will benefit GEMS programs that provide holiday food baskets and gifts for needy families.
