Wine taste set Saturday at center

St. Maron’s Maronite Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, will sponsor the 12th annual “Wonderful World of Wine Taste” from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday at St. Maron Center.

There also will be food, dancing and raffles. Tickets are $75.

Paint & Dip fundraiser

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., will have a Paint & Dip fundraiser at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Cost is $20 per person.

The event is an instructional painting class. Participants should take any size canvas 16-by-20-inches or smaller. An instructor will provide guidance and tips.

Appetizers will be served, and there will be a basket raffle.

Vittles in Vienna event

VIENNA

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, will host a Vittles in Vienna food taste event from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Four tasting tickets for food will be offered for $5.

Guests will be able to sample their choice of chicken dumpling soup, jambalaya, haluski, chili, pizzelles, jarred peppers, Italian bread with jellies and jams, and more.

Children under 12 enter for free and will be given a hot dog, chips and drink.

Fat Tuesday event will benefit food pantry

Salem Community Center, Salem Rotary Club and Salem Kiwanis Club will sponsor its annual Fat Tuesday event from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at the center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave.

Funds from the event will benefit the Salem Community Pantry.

The event will include a variety of food vendors and Salem celebrity chefs.

Participants in the celebrity chef competition must reserve a table by Jan. 29.

Chefs are asked to take a non-electric warming device and server for their table. Organizers can also arrange for a server for a chef’s table, if necessary.

The name of the individual or business participating will be displayed at each table and will be provided by organizers.

Tickets are available for purchase starting Jan. 18. Visit the center, or contact a Rotary or Kiwanis member.

JWL of Canfield to mark 50 years

CANFIELD

Junior Women’s League of Canfield will welcome all former and current members to the Colonial Inn at the Canfield Fairgrounds at 11 a.m. Jan. 24 to celebrate the league’s 50th anniversary.
