Help for veterans
ELLWOOD CITY, PA.
State Rep. Jaret Gibbons of Ellwood City, D-10th, said he will host veterans’ specialist Stephanie Bengoa in his Ellwood City office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday to lend help to veterans and their families.
Bengoa, of the American Legion’s Veterans Assistance program, will be in Gibbons’ office to assist veterans with understanding what benefits they have earned, filing appeals to current claims, enrolling in the Veterans Administration health care system and any other question regarding benefits.
Gibbons’ Ellwood City office is at 438 Line Ave. No appointment is necessary.

Movie, bird events
MERCER, PA.
Munnell Run Farm, 753 Greenville Road, will host two events in mid-January:
A free movie night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday featuring the film “Leave it to Beavers.” Popcorn will be served. Register by Tuesday by calling 724-662-2242.
An event on feeding and attracting winter birds from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 19. Pictures of winter birds and recordings of their calls will be shared, as well as an introduction to birds and types of seed they prefer. Register by Thursday by calling the farm. Cost is $5 per person or $20 for families or five or more.
