Sheely’s Furniture & Appliance, a long-established and well-known family retailer in the Mahoning Valley, was recently recognized in “Home Furnishings Business,” a leading national publication for the home-furnishings industry with a trade circulation of 20,000.

The publication named Sheely’s the No. 1 independent furniture store in the U.S. operating within a single state. Unlike many of its peer stores on the list, Sheely’s achieved its ranking with a single location – 11450 South Ave. in North Lima.

Additionally, Home Furnishings Business named Sheely’s to its fifth annual “Power 50 Retailers” list. Sheely’s placed 13th on the list – up from the No. 23 spot last year. The “Power 50” list is made up of home furnishing retailers of all sizes.

BANKING

BCG & Co. of Akron recently announced the promotion of Youngstown resident, Tim Spencer. Spencer was promoted to supervisor of tax services.
