Melo Trimble hit a long 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left to lift Maryland past Wisconsin. Trimble finished with 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting in a game in which the Terrapins (15-1, 4-0 Big Ten) lost an eight-point lead with about 7 minutes to go. Trimble let the shot clock wind down with Zak Showalter guarding him for the Badgers (9-8, 1-3).

Quinton Stephens, Adam Smith and Nick Jacobs each scored 16 points and Georgia Tech upset Virginia. The loss was a rare second in a row for Virginia, matching its loss total of each of the last two years when it won consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season titles.

Sheldon McClellan scored 20 of his 21 points in the second half and Miami beat Florida State for its seventh straight victory. Ja’Quan Newton had 13 points for the Hurricanes (13-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), and Davon Reed added 12 points.

Boyette added 11 rebounds, and Empress Davenport and Ariel Atkins each had nine points for the Longhorns (15-0, 4-0 Big 12). They led 25-7 after one quarter and 43-13 at the half.

Freshman Beatrice Monpremier scored 18 points, Kristy Wallace added 11 points and seven assists and Baylor overcame a slow start to beat TCU. Fellow freshman Kalani Brown added 15 points. She scored six during the first 2:35 of the fourth quarter.
St. John’s 71, No. 25 Seton Hall 69

Danaejah Grant had 29 points and 13 rebounds and St. John’s held off Seton Hall. Alaliyah Lewis made 5 of 6 free throws in the fourth quarter, three in the final 15 seconds for the Red Storm, and Shakena Richardson missed a 3-pointer in the closing seconds for Seton Hall. Aliyyah Handford had 17 points for St. John’s (13-3, 4-1 Big East).
