Chamber schedules business summit

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, the Nigeria USA Chamber of Commerce and the International Trade Assistance Center at Youngstown State University will have a business-to-business summit from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 21.
The summit will feature Geoffrey I. Teneilabe, the ambassador/consul-general of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Atlanta.
The event will take place at YSU’s Williamson College of Business, One University Plaza, Room 1155. Register at nusacc.us/registration.html.

The Mahoning-Youngs-town Community Action Partnership, 1325 Fifth Ave. in Youngstown, has the following dates scheduled for information sessions on its first Workforce Development Program of 2016: 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Jan. 19-21.
The information sessions outline what is covered in the Workforce Development class, a six-week class to help Mahoning County residents learn basic work skills such as interviewing, motivational training and resume writing.
Those interested in the Feb. 1 Workforce Development class must attend just one of the information sessions. Class space is limited.

Petroleum Club event

The Petroleum Club of Youngstown recently had an event that brought together mineral owners, business and industry leaders and local government leaders.
The club was formed last year and is similar to other historic petroleum clubs. The club’s vision for membership is to promote and safeguard new-found Utica energy business and industry in Ohio and Pennsylvania; provide education and programming; networking with local leaders; and have social activities for its members.

Paladin’s new brew

Paladin Brewing recently released its seventh beer. The beer, named “Mosaic Tribute,” is a SMASH Pale Ale, which is an acronym for single malt and single hop. Mosaic Tribute uses the mosaic hop with a hint of another for color only along with a pale ale malt. This beer is designed for the lover of hoppy beers.
Paladin Brewing opened in August 2015 at 6520 Mahoning Ave.
