Youngstown man injured in Hubbard traffic accident
HUBBARD — A Youngstown man suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in a crash at U.S. Route 62 and Interstate 80 at 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Stev’vahn Woodruff, 23, of Springfield, Mo., was driving a tractor-trailer north on Route 62 and attempting to turn left onto the westbound ramp to I-80 when he failed to yield the right of way to Zachary Sharpnack, 22, of Youngstown, who was traveling south on Route 62, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Sharpnack’s vehicle struck the tractor-trailer and became disabled. Neither Woodruff nor his passenger were injured. A state trooper cited Woodruff for failure to yield while making a left turn.
