Tri-Gold PrimeTime Chapter of ABWA will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield. Mahoning Valley Stamp Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. The club meets the second Thursday of each month.
Newcomers Club of Canfield will meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Paula Lavin. The theme will be “Bingo with a Twist.” Take an appetizer, dessert or wine to share and gifts for the bingo game. GROUPS
Metaphysical Insights 528 Group of Trumbull County will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren S.C.O.P.E. Center, 220 W. Market St. Theresa Manjas will discuss Predictions 2016. Doors open at 6:30. Cost is $5. The group is nonprofit social organization for the purpose of spiritual expansion, personal enlightenment and metaphysical education inclusive of philosophy, religion, science and phenomena of spirit.
Transcendental Interest Group will gather at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the north lounge at Park Vista, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. A four-part video series on yoga by Peggy Cappy will include seated exercises and positions for upper and lower body, a standing sequence for hips and legs, relaxation and meditation. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing. The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month and is coordinated by Agnes Martinko. Meetings are free and open to the public. World War II Heritage Group will gather for a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 18, and a speech by Bill Stevens, a Marine Corps veteran, will follow. Stevens will discuss joining the Marines in December 1944 and his service in World War II and his life since returning to Youngstown and becoming a minister.

Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following neighborhood group meetings: Designing Women machine embroidery group meets at 10 a.m. today at Domestic Sewing, 2011 Youngstown Road, Warren. Effie Welch will demonstrate a six-hour quilt. Material Girls will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 490 N. High St., Cort- land. Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Inn at the Canfield Fairgrounds for a Distaff Day (Roc Day) celebration. Roc Day is the first day after the 12 days of Christmas that the women returned to spinning in old England. Leaders will be Marjorie Preece, Tracy Jackson and Sheila Colaric.
