Busy Columbus roads closed after truck hits, damages bridge

COLUMBUS (AP) — Authorities in Columbus have closed two busy roads after a truck hit and damaged a bridge.

The accident happened this afternoon on the city’s south side where state Route 104 runs beneath High Street, a major north-south artery through Columbus.

Police say no one was injured in the accident but both roads were closed in both directions while the strength of the bridge was assessed.

Police were diverting traffic around the bridge and underpass.
