Brookfield team to host moonlight bowl

The Brookfield High School bowling team will host a Moonlight Bowling Fundraiser starting at 9 p.m. Saturday at Bell-Wick Bowl, 6105 W. Liberty St. The event will include a basket auction.
Teams of two will bowl three games in a Scotch doubles format. Cost is $20 per team and registration begins at 9. Participants must be over 18 to register.

A soup and salad bar lunch is planned for Sunday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free to children 5 and under.
Fundraiser to benefit Ecuador mission trip

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be served from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion Hall, 16465 Milton Ave., to benefit Amelia Metzger. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 3 to 11 and free for children 2 and under. Takeout will be available. A bake sale and silent auction also will be offered.
Metzger, a junior at Malone University in Canton, and five other classmates will travel to Ecuador for nine days during their spring break in March to teach children English and other subjects. Metzger is a Newton Falls resident and graduate of Southeast High School. She is pursuing her degree in education and plans to be a teacher.

Father-Daughter dance set at Boardman Park

Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road, will host its 13th annual Father-Daughter Princess Dance at the Lariccia Family Community Center from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11, 12 and 13 and 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 14.
The semiformal event will include dinner, dancing, and a professional photo for a keepsake for fathers or father-figures who have daughters 5 to 12 years old.
No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are available for purchase beginning Monday by visiting the park office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, calling 330-726-8105 or visiting www.boardmanpark.com.
Cost is $40 per couple and $20 for each additional child for Boardman residents, and $50 per couple and $25 for each additional child for nonresidents.
