Arts fest at YSU seeks entries

Artists are being sought for the juried art show at the Summer Festival of the Arts set for July 9-10 at Youngstown State University.

Artists are encouraged to apply by the April 4 early deadline, although applications will be accepted until the event is full. Each application must be accompanied by the $20 jury fee. If accepted, the booth fee is $100. The SFA does not rent tables; all artists must submit an application and materials and be accepted by a panel of professional jurors.

Applications for fine artists wishing to sell their artwork in the Artists’ Marketplace are also available.

More than 80 artists participated in last year’s festival, which also includes an ethnic festival, jazz concert and multiple family activities. The Summer Festival of the Arts is the anchor event for a weekend-long series of festivals in the campus area.
