Youngstown police find assault weapon, other guns while serving warrants

YOUNGSTOWN

Members of the vice squad Wednesday serving search warrants while investigating drug activity found six guns in two separate homes, including a 7.62mm assault rifle that had a grenade launcher attached.

Also found with the rifle in a 692 Delaware Ave. home was a 9mm handgun and a .45-caliber handgun.

At an 801 Pennsylvania Ave. apartment police found a .30-caliber revolver and two .45-caliber handguns along with a bulletproof vest.

Several rounds of ammunition were also found in both homes.
