Traffic stop leads to cocaine arrest

A traffic stop Wednesday led to an arrest for trafficking in cocaine.

Police stopped William Jennings, 49, of Youngstown about 6:20 p.m. near Courtland Avenue for having no tail light and no rear license plate illumination, according to a police report. The report states that Jennings was placed under arrest for driving under multiple suspensions and that police found an open alcoholic container and 3 grams total of cocaine in various small bags.

Jennings is also charged with driving under the influence, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension. He will be arraigned Friday in Campbell Municipal Court.
